The Meeting I Never Cancel

The Meeting I Never Cancel

The Meeting I Never Cancel

Why movement became the most important appointment on my calendar.

There was a time when working out was the first thing I canceled.

If work got busy...
If someone wanted to grab coffee...
If I had one more email to answer...
The workout disappeared.

I always told myself I'd make it up tomorrow.

Tomorrow rarely came.

Somewhere along the way, I realized something.

I would never cancel a client appointment.
I would never skip an important business meeting.
So why was I so comfortable canceling the one appointment that affected every part of my life?

Now my workouts go on my calendar exactly like a meeting.

Because they are one.

Just with myself.

It's Bigger Than Looking Good

Of course I love feeling strong.

I love seeing muscles I've worked hard for.

I love putting on clothes and feeling confident.

But that's honestly one of the smallest reasons I move my body.

Working out changes the version of me that walks into every room.

It gives me patience when life feels overwhelming.

It helps quiet anxious thoughts that would otherwise follow me all day.

It reminds me that I can do hard things.

And somehow, after an hour of moving my body, every problem feels a little smaller.

My Business Gets the Best Version of Me

Lottie deserves the best version of me.

My clients deserve the best version of me.

My family deserves the best version of me.

None of them get that version if I'm running on empty.

Movement isn't something I squeeze into my schedule.

It's one of the reasons everything else on my schedule works.

The ideas come easier.

I'm more creative.

I make better decisions.

I have more energy to pour into the things and people I love.

Showing Up For Yourself Changes Everything

There are plenty of mornings I don't feel like going.

I don't wake up magically motivated every day.

The difference is that I don't negotiate with myself anymore.

When it's on the calendar, I go.

The same way I'd show up for someone else.

Because keeping promises to yourself builds confidence in a way almost nothing else can.

Every workout is another vote for the person you're becoming.

My Favorite Kind of Luxury

When people think of luxury, they usually think of beautiful homes, vacations, handbags, or skincare.

To me, luxury is having enough energy to enjoy your life.

It's waking up without brain fog.

It's feeling strong enough to carry your groceries, your future babies one day, or simply yourself through hard seasons.

It's protecting your mental health before you need rescuing from burnout.

That's the kind of luxury I'm chasing.

My Lottie Girl Reminder

Schedule your workout before your meetings.

Protect it like you would protect your biggest client.

Show up even when motivation is missing.

Not because you're trying to become someone different.

Because the best version of you is already there.

Movement simply helps bring her out.

♡

The Lottie Girl doesn't wait until life slows down to take care of herself. She puts herself on the calendar first, knowing everyone she loves benefits from that decision.
